The project involved the fabrication of 50 sets of hot rolled SS 304 heat-resistant containers, along with their spare parts, ranging in thickness from 5mm to 10mm, and with a total weight of up to 150 tons. Openex was entrusted with the responsibility of executing the fabrication process, which included decoiling, cutting, bending, and welding.
Decoiling and Cutting:
To commence the project, Openex's skilled workforce performed meticulous decoiling of the SS 304 sheets, ensuring the materials were ready for subsequent processing. Advanced cutting techniques were then employed to accurately obtain the desired dimensions for each component. Precision cutting not only saved material costs but also ensured the highest level of accuracy in the final product.
Bending and Planeness Control:
The side containers, constructed using corrugated sheet steel, presented a unique challenge. Openex's state-of-the-art machinery, including a 320T precision press brake, enabled multiple bends in the corrugated sheet steel, resulting in the desired shape and dimensions. A remarkable aspect of Openex's fabrication process was the ability to maintain excellent planeness of the sheet steel, effectively controlling deformation. This skillful capability ensured the containers met the stringent quality requirements of the project.
Welding Process:
Openex employed a double-sided welding approach for joining the corrugated sheet steel. By combining argon arc welding with CO2 shielded arc welding, the company ensured optimal weld strength and integrity. Moreover, the welded seams received special treatment, guaranteeing the durability and robustness of the joints.
