Precision Metal Components Machining For Detector of CT Scanner

Recently, we are providing mass production of detector components of CT Scranners for a medical equipment enterprise. The order has a total of more than one hundred sets of detector components.

For this project, we set up a project team to analyze the characteristics of the components and determine the specific processing plan. The machining process includes rough turning, wire cutting, fine grinding, drilling and milling, finishing, benching, CMM inspection, etc.

The precision of the detector components is very high, and the accuracy is less than 1μ(0.001mm). We use high precision and flexible German Schiess vertical turning and milling machining center and Zeiss CMM(Coordinate Measuring Machine), which provides a strong hardware guarantee for product processing and testing.

Here are the components we've manufactured for CT Scanner:

• Gantry: The gantry is a large metal ring-shaped component that houses the X-ray tube and detector. It rotates around the patient during the scan.
• Detector: The detector is a metal component that measures the X-rays that pass through the body and converts them into electrical signals that are used to create the images.
• Table: The table is a metal component that the patient lies on during the scan. It moves through the gantry during the scan.
• Support structures: The gantry, X-ray tube, and detector are all supported by metal structures.
