Weld overlay melts one metal—the cladding layer—onto the surface of another metal of similar composition and melting point, forming a base material that is resistant to corrosion and wear. The highly versatile process may require multiple passes to properly mix and bond the metals, while meeting the design and material requirements of the cladding layer.

Customers commonly use weld overlay to balance corrosion resistant properties and costs, often coating an inexpensive metal, like carbon steel, with a more expensive base layer, such as stainless steel. Our weld overlay process uses readily available metals, reducing lead times, for a wide range of applications, including tube sheet, flanges, fittings, pipes, valves, pressure vessel nozzles and tube sheets for heat exchangers.

Tube Sheets and flange manufacturing is one of Openex's specialties. We're a tube sheet/flange maufacturer that specializes in almost all tube sheets up to 12 meters in diameter and special flanges in all styles that measure up to 10 meters O.D based on your requirements.

We have a large array of multi-spindle milling-drilling CNCs. With our CNC array, the dimension tolerance, including flatness, parallelism, perpendicular, circularity, and cylindricity can be achieved to an unrivaled tight level.

Except for tens of multi-spindle CNCs, we also have more than 11 deep-hole milling-drilling CNCs to meet some special tasks which might need holes deep up to 1200mm.
